WEEK 1

Week 1, started with the holiday project critic, we all displayed our work on the desks and gave us the opportunity to see the work of our peers, seeing how they work was a nice way to get to know each other. however it was very uncomfortable wouldn't you find it strange having people critic your work whilst you were standing there?? was a very strange thing for me, as i am not used to such upfront and personal criticism. Tuesday saw our IT induction with Jamie, this again was useful, as I am new to apple macs so was nice to have the opportunity to get used to them and get to know Jamie as he is one of our tutors for PPRD, however finding this blog aspect of that module a little difficult any tips on blogging anyone?? Thursday saw my most favourite moment on the course so far PATTERN CUTTING!! Currently we are making a block bodice, in a size 12,  which sounds rather challenging.  This was my most anticipated moment on the course as i was really unsure on how i would take to it seeing as i had such little textile knowledge however i loved it, got great support from the tutors which helped you grasp it and the demonstrations are just how i learn so was a great way for me to learn. absolutely loved this unit and cant wait for next week shame we have to wait so long, damm you group A who are in tomorrow:(
